Run the playbook
01Write the account connection
Hyper names the change in the buyer's business, then says what the change costs that buyer in practice. A congratulations line about a funding round gives the buyer nothing to reply to.
- Name the event
- Name the consequence
- Check the buyer owns the consequence
02Choose one useful claim
Each email makes one claim about what your company does for a business in that position. Hyper leaves out every promise the research cannot stand behind.
- State the outcome
- Remove unsupported certainty
- Remove secondary product points
03Build a three-part message
Every email runs to three sentences: what is happening in the buyer's business, what your company does about that change, and a question asking for a short call.
- Account event and consequence
- Offer connection
- Simple invitation
A colleague who has seen no research reads the email cold. The company, the buyer, the change and what your business offers should all be clear from the email by itself.
- Remove vague pronouns
- Remove compliments
- Read the message aloud
